Hello and welcome! I'm Donna, a mum of 3, and an avid foodie.
I love nothing more than the satisfaction of a lunchbox coming back empty from the little ones at school, and the big ones at work. I also love having a delicious lunch to look forward to myself while working from home.
I believe that the ham and cheese sandwich definitely has its place, but having a fun and creative lunch to look forward to is one of life's little pleasures we can all get behind.
Whether it's a bento box with cute little cut-out vegetables and shaped hard-boiled eggs or instant noodles in a jar, jammed pack with a flavorful broth and lots of veggies, it's time to think outside the box and make lunchtime more epic.
A Little Background
I am a recovering lawyer turned full-time blogger and online content creator.
I started my journey to entrepreneurship when I became a mum for the first time almost 12 years ago whilst living overseas with no family around, and a husband who works all the hours God gives.
I am now mama to 3 busybodies who are always asking for food, and just like their mama, never want the same meal twice in a row.
I am crazy passionate about getting kids to try new foods and having a diverse diet to set them up for future foodie adventures.
I am a regular volunteer at the school canteen and have also worked as the school's canteen coordinator, assisting the canteen operator and the kids to work together to create an awesome menu for everyone.
My work on my other sites has been featured on Buzzfeed, Better Homes and Gardens, Country Living, Tasty, and Diabetes Matters WA.
I have had the privilege of working with Vitamix, Immaculate Baking, Pepperidge Farms, and Everten.
My Family
I am a proud mama to 3 little foodies who inspire me every day and are only too happy to try all my recipe triumphs and failures.
Miss 11 is of the opinion that no lunchbox is complete without something crunchy. Be that chips, rice crackers, or a crunchy bar of some description. She inspects every morning for the perfect balance.
Mr 10 will eat anything and everything.
Miss 7 is my fussy one, and the one that has sent me back into the kitchen time and time again to come up with more ideas. She would happily eat a butter wrap every day if I let her, but loves rice balls stuffed with tuna, cheesy quesadillas, and pasta salad. Sandwiches are a hard no in her opinion. Too boring apparently!
And then there is Odie the mini dachshund. He is the pickiest one of them all, but he is happy to test out the food if it involves cheese or peanut butter.
I also have a husband, and he will eat whatever he is given but prefers chia puddings and epic salads over anything else.
