🍪 No Bake Oreo Dirt Cake Pudding Parfaits
You are going to love these sweet little pots of deliciousness!
Super easy to make, and combining the wonderful flavors of caramel and Oreos with a deliciously smooth and creamy layer, the kids will be begging you to make these time and time again.
I make a batch and divide it between 6 small plastic containers if making them for the kids' lunchboxes.
For myself, or my husband, I make them up in little mason jars. It makes no difference to the flavor, it just looks prettier 😊
They are also the perfect easy dessert to make up in nice glasses if you want a fuss-free dessert that tastes amazing!
🧂 Ingredients You Need
We made this version of the Oreo dirt puddings using mascarpone instead of regular cream cheese, as the texture is a bit lighter, which is perfect for a creamy dessert like this.
You will also need:
- Oreos (of course)
- Caramelized condensed milk: you can make this yourself by using a simple recipe like this one: one ingredient caramel, or you can usually buy the caramel condensed milk in most well-stocked stores these days
- Mascarpone: this can be found alongside the ricotta and cottage cheese in the dairy section
- Heavy cream
- Powdered sugar: you can replace this with a stevia-based powdered sugar if preferred
- Vanilla
- Strawberries for serving: you can obviously use the gummy worms that normally adorn such a dessert, but we found the pudding to be sweet enough, and we like adding the strawberries instead to cut through that sweetness. And who doesn't love strawberries, caramel, and chocolate?
💭 Important Teaching Tips
If you are taking the extra step of making your own caramel, then you should start with that, as the condensed milk will need time to cool down after being prepared. I find it takes about 1-2 hours to cool completely.
Do not make these up too far in advance, as the Oreo layers may become soggy if left for too long.
To avoid this, simply make up the different elements and keep them stored in airtight containers in the fridge until you want to serve them up.
🍽 Serving Suggestions
We serve our Oreo dirt puddings with some sliced strawberries, however, you can always add some gummy worms or other fresh fruit such as blueberries.
A whole Oreo on top is a nice addition too!
Along with some chopped fruit, chopped veggies, and a nice salad full of veggies, like this Mediterranean Chickpea Pasta Salad Recipe, you will have the perfect balanced lunch.
